Khen's story

Mrs. Khen is 48 years old and currently lives with her family in Tiên Trang Commune. She has two dependent children: her eldest child is 18 years old and studying in grade 12, and her second child is 15 years old and in grade 9. As a devoted mother, she works tirelessly to support her children’s education and hopes they will grow up healthy, study well, and have better futures. Her family life is modest, but she always strives to keep her household stable and happy.

She has more than 10 years of experience selling fish. Her family is classified as a low-income household in the local community.

She is applying for her seventh loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to continue expanding her small business by purchasing more types of fish such as mackerel, flounder, ribbon fish, and golden threadfin bream to meet customer demand. Her previous loans have helped her improve her family’s living conditions and maintain a more stable source of income.

Her main difficulty is that her house is located far from the town center, making transportation and trading more challenging. In the future, she hopes her family will remain healthy and happy, that she can earn enough money to support her children’s education, and that she will be able to invest in more tools and equipment to further develop her business.
