Mirna completed her secondary school studies. She is currently in a relationship and her partner earns a living in the sewing trade. She has a one year old child who is dependent on both of them and is one of their main motivations for getting ahead.
Mirna earns a living in sewing, specifically making protection from insects for beds, known as mosquito nets. She learned this business from her partner and they carry out this family business together. Her work day begins at 7 in the morning and finishes around 5 in the afternoon. She has the help of her partner making the product and when she is not working in the business she also does the housework.
