A loan of $1,925 helps to buy more raw sedge.

Luyến's story
Mrs. Luyến is 49 years old and currently lives with her family in Hồ Vương Commune. Her family has one dependent child who is studying at secondary school. Her husband has been in poor health for many years, so she is the main breadwinner of the family. Despite many hardships, she continues to work hard to support her family and ensure her child can continue studying.
She has more than 10 years of experience in weaving sedge products such as mats and handicrafts. Her family is classified as a low-income household in the local community. Because her husband is often ill, she must also cover medical expenses while managing daily living costs. She is applying for her first loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to invest in her sedge weaving business. She plans to purchase more raw sedge materials to produce mats, handicrafts, ropes, nets, and hats to increase her income and improve her family’s living conditions.
Her main challenge is that the products she makes often sell at low prices, which limits her earnings. In the future, she hopes her family will remain healthy and happy, that she can earn enough money to support her child’s education, and that she can save some money to prepare for unexpected risks such as illness or unemployment.
