Esther Maria's story
Esther is 45 years old and was unable to attend school due to financial constraints. She is single and has two grown children.
Esther makes a living baking and selling artisan bread, a craft she learned from her mother over 10 years ago. She bakes the bread at home and then walks 15 minutes to sell it as a street vendor in her community. Her work schedule runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
She will use the loan to buy metal sheets, cement, and other materials to repair her bread oven and upgrade her workspace, which she expects will improve her production.
Esther dreams of expanding her business and creating jobs for others.
