Rucia

Rucia is a hardworking smallholder farmer from Machakos who has spent a few years building her experience and caring for her farm. She is married and works with dedication to support her family through agriculture. Farming is the main source of food and income for her household, and she takes pride in cultivating her land and nurturing her crops with patience and commitment. Each planting season she prepares her farm carefully and hopes for a good harvest that will improve the wellbeing of her family.

Through the years, Rucia has gained useful farming knowledge that helps her manage her crops and make good use of her land. However limited resources have made it difficult for her to achieve the full potential of her farm. She is seeking a loan to procure essential farm inputs such as fertilizers, farm seeds and farm chemicals. With these resources, she will be able to increase her harvest and strengthen her income while building a more secure future for her family.
