Prossy
A loan of $1,075 helps to buy more liquor and soft drinks.

Prossy's story
Prossy is 35 years old and lives in the town of Kawempe in the Central region of Uganda. For the past 6 years, Prossy has been working hard to manage her pub business, which sells a variety of liquor and beverages.
To help expand her business, Prossy has requested a loan of 4,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more liquor and soft drinks to sell, which will help Prossy to generate greater profits and invest more in her business and buy food for her family.
Prossy hopes that in the future she will be able to educate all their three remaining kids up to university. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small-group members like her who do not have the collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
