Charise

Charise's story

I have worked in the mental health field for over 13 years, serving a wide range of clients in private practice, agency settings, and schools. My clinical strengths include supporting children, teens, and families as they navigate life transitions, stressors, and significant challenges. During these trying times, the demand for mental health treatment has increased significantly, and the continuation of accessible services is critical for our communities.

Over the years, I have served thousands of clients, as this work has truly been my life’s calling. As a woman of color, I have faced barriers such as wage disparities, having my competence questioned, and not always feeling valued or seen in professional spaces. Building and expanding my own practice is an opportunity to continue providing essential services while fostering my own professional growth and sustainability.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to community. I aim to increase mental health awareness, cultivate meaningful community partnerships, and provide a safe, supportive space where individuals and families feel respected, understood, and empowered. I believe deeply in the impact of this work and hope my commitment resonates with those who share a vision for healthier, more supported communities.
