Kellin

Kellin's story

Kellin is a young cattle farmer in Sapuyes, Nariño with 10 years of experience. She owns a half-hectare farm where she cares for a herd of four dairy cows that feed on pasture from her farm, supplemented with mineral salts that strengthen their nutrition and production. Her cows produce more than 35 liters of milk daily, which she sells within her community and surrounding areas, transporting it in an old wheelbarrow to which she has adapted metal buckets to preserve and carry the milk during her daily routes. This allows her to meet her deliveries, although it requires greater physical effort and travel time.

Kellin lives with her parents in a house they rent monthly. Her parents are her main support in caring for the cows and in the daily tasks on the farm.

A loan of 4,632,322 COP will allow Kellin to purchase a new motorcycle that will simplify her transportation for the sale of her dairy production. This investment improves distribution efficiency, reduces physical effort, and allows her to expand delivery coverage, increasing her income and strengthening her livestock activity.
