Maria Dolores

A loan of $1,500 helps to buy feed and other supplies for her poultry business.

Maria Dolores

Maria Dolores' story

Niña María has a 5th grade education. She is currently married; her husband works in the fields and her children are in school.  Together, they form a household that is supported with hard work and daily effort.

For more than 10 years, Niña María has been raising chickens and hens.  She learned this occupation from her family.  She is developing this business on her own property, which allows her to tend to her business activities along with meeting her household responsibilities.  Her work day begins at 7am, and she takes care of the feeding, cleaning, and care of the birds.

Niña María will use this loan to buy feed, including commercial feed, corn and sorghum.  These are the supplies that she needs to guarantee the growth and health of her chickens and hens.

Niña María dreams of having more poultry to raise so that she could increase her production and continue to provide daily support to her family through her constant work.
