Dan's story
Dan is a 40-year-old married man with three children, one of whom is in school. He lives in Biguli Kamwege District, which is in the western part of Uganda. Dan is an agricultural produce trader who sells coffee and maize as his major source of income. In addition, he raises and sells cattle to supplement his income.
Dan is a first-time borrower who is challenged by inadequate capital to finance his business. For this reason, he is borrowing funds to buy more coffee and maize to sell so that he can meet the needs of his customers and increase his sales.
