Duban

Duban's story

Duban is a young farmer from Pupiales, Nariño, with 14 years of experience in agricultural work. He owns a two-hectare farm where he grows carrot crops in different growth stages, allowing him to obtain a fruitful harvest of more than half a ton in each production cycle. He sells this produce within his community and at the local market, transporting it on an old tricycle he has used for several years. Although it has allowed him to fulfill his deliveries, it limits the quantity he can carry on each trip and requires greater physical effort.

Duban lives with his parents and his brother in a house they built several years ago. His family actively participates in farm work and supports him in harvesting and marketing the carrots.

A loan of 4,571,987 COP allows Duban to purchase a motorcycle to which he will attach a trailer for selling his agricultural production. This investment will improve transportation, increase load capacity, and facilitate the timely distribution of his harvests, strengthening his agricultural activity.
