Immaculate is a 58-year-old married woman from western Uganda. She has four children between the ages of 10 and 25 years old, three of whom are still school-going.
Immaculate is a business woman operating a retail shop in her local area. She also earns from seasonal crops like cassava, beans and millet to supplement her business, which enables her to pay school fees for her children. However, she has been facing a challenge of limited funds to buy stock for the shop.
Immaculate is a first time borrower. She is interested in the loan to buy sacks of sugar, posho and boxes of soap so as to expand her retail shop and increase her income. According to her neighbors, she has a good character and she will be able to pay the loan. This loan will help her to improve her standard of living.
