Rehema
A loan of $575 helps to buy more raw matooke for selling.

Rehema's story
Rehema is 64 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Kiyinda region of Uganda. She is married and has 5 children, with none of them currently in school. For the past 5 years, Rehema has been working hard to manage her food market business, which sells raw food.
To help expand her business, Rehema has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more raw matooke for selling and will help Rehema to generate greater profits and improve on the sales and revenue of the business.
Rehema hopes that in the future she will be able to build her own house. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
