Manyara, a 38-year-old married woman from North Dinajpur district in West Bengal, supports her family through her husband’s paddy and rice trading business, which is their only source of income. Her husband purchases paddy from local farmers and sells it in the market. His experience, commitment to quality, and fair dealings have helped him build a strong reputation and maintain a loyal customer base.

To expand their business, Manyara, along with a group of women from her village, has applied for a group loan of INR 165,000 from Grameen Shakti, a field partner of Milaap. She intends to use her share of the loan to increase the stock and variety of paddy, which will help attract more customers and increase sales.

Manyara believes that this investment will strengthen their financial stability, enhance their livelihood, and create better opportunities for their children’s future. She and her fellow group members, along with their families, are sincerely grateful to Milaap, Grameen Shakti, and the generous lenders for their continued support.
