María Delfina
A loan of $1,325 helps to purchase staple goods for a shop, including soaps, sugar, noodles, eggs etc.

María Delfina's story
This is María, a hard-working and brave woman who has life-long hopes and dreams. She is 39 years old, single, and lives in San Juan Comalapa. It is an area made beautiful by its vegetables and weaving. The area is in the north of the Republic of Guatemala.
Many Guatemalan women are determined to reach their goals alongside their families, just like María. She earns her living through a number of businesses, like selling tortillas, selling staple goods and selling sashes and centerpieces. María is proud of her businesses, as they provide her with regular income spread out over time.
María is always looking to increase her earnings. Because of that, she has come to the Asociación to request a loan. She will invest the loan in purchasing staple goods for her general store, including soaps, sugar, noodles, eggs etc. She is grateful for the KIVA lenders who make dreams into reality for many Guatemalan women.
