A loan of $1,600 helps to purchase a motorcycle that will optimize her travel between her home and her farmland.

María's story
María is an Indigenous farmer from Jambaló, Cauca, with 26 years of experience in agricultural work. She has a one-hectare plot assigned to her by the Indigenous council, and here she grows more than 5,000 coffee plants intercropped with banana crops and some subsistence products for family consumption.
María cares for her crops using organic fertilizers and performing periodic weeding to maintain soil productivity and ensure a good harvest throughout the year.
María lives with her husband in a house built about half an hour from her land. She has two independent adult children who have formed their own households, but they maintain constant communication and provide support when needed.
A loan of $5,819,721 COP allows María to purchase a motorcycle that will optimize her travel between her home and her farmland. This investment reduces travel time, facilitates the transportation of supplies and tools, and improves the organization of her daily tasks, strengthening her agricultural activity and the financial stability of her household.
