Jameela's story

Jameela is a determined 42-year-old woman and mother of one child who runs a small clothing business to support her family. She purchases clothing from the local market and sells it from her home and within her neighborhood.

In the beginning, her business was limited because she could not afford to maintain sufficient stock. With the support of a microfinance loan from CEIP, Jameela has been able to purchase a wider variety of clothing and better meet customer demand. This financial assistance has helped her increase sales, raise her income, and improve her family’s living conditions.

Today, Jameela confidently contributes to household expenses and supports her child’s education. Her journey demonstrates how microfinance empowers women to become self-reliant, create opportunities, and bring positive change to their families and communities.
