Rarin's story
Rarin is 37 years old. She is married and is supporting five children in the family who are under 18 years of age. She is a mixed farmer, farming potatoes and maize for the past 10 years and earning an average income of KES 30,000 per month. She also owns a retail shop, earning KES 20,000 per month.
Rarin has applied for a loan of KES 100,000, her second loan from Vision Fund Kenya. She intends to use the loan to purchase farm inputs such as fertilizer and maize seeds for her business. This will increase on her sales, thus generating more profits. The anticipated profits will be used to expand her business. Her hopes and dreams for the future are to expand the current business and educate her children.
