Swaibu

Swaibu's story

Swaibu is a 60-year-old resident of Kazo District, Western Uganda. He is married and blessed with six children, three of whom are currently in school.

Swaibu is a large-scale sugarcane farmer, an activity that has consistently supported his family’s needs and household expenses. In addition, his wife is engaged in seasonal crop farming, which ensures that the family has adequate food throughout the year. As a result, the household is stable and food-secure.

Swaibu now intends to purchase additional land in order to expand his sugarcane plantation. However, he currently lacks sufficient capital to do so and has therefore approached Ebo SACCO to request a loan. Based on his previous sugarcane sales, he earns reliable income and has the capacity to repay the loan within the agreed period if it is granted.
