A loan of $4,000 helps a member to buy dried and smoked fish and seafood.

Lélo Group's story
This group is made up of eight women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual support. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the village bank when it was established in the locality in February 2000. Their main activity is trade.
Mrs Khary (standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 41 years old, married and the mother of three children, including two daughters, all of whom are in school. She is a trader and has over a decade of experience in this field.
With this new loan, she plans to buy 50 kg of smoked fish, 100 kg of dried fish and 30 kg of seafood.
The profits generated by her business will enable her to expand her activities, increase her savings and provide for herself and her children.
