Escale Group's story

This group was formed in March 2010. It is made up of members who live in the same village and have a strong sense of community. Ms. Yaye Maimouna, with her hand raised on the right side of the photo, is the group leader. 

She is 51 years old and the mother of six children. She has three other children in her care. She is active in vegetable trading. With her loan, she will buy oil, onions, carrots, cabbage, turnips, and miscellaneous items. The profits will be used to build up her savings and help her husband provide for the family.
