Sare Tening Group's story
Formed in September 2018, this group is made up of members who live in the same community. They get on well together. The group is mainly involved in buying and selling goods.
Mme Ramatoulaye is a retailer by profession and she is the group representative. She is standing on the left of the photo, with her arm raised. Ramatoulaye is a 26-year-old married woman and mother of seven children, of whom three are girls. She has two others in her care.
With her new loan, she plans to buy vegetables and palm oil at the local weekly market. The profits will allow her to save more, to strengthen her business and also to support her husband with the household expenses.
