A loan of $12,500 helps a Puerto Rico based coffee business expand to meet increased demand.

Adriana's story
My name is Adriana, and I am a young entrepreneur who has grown alongside her dream. From a very early age, I knew I wanted to build something of my own, something meaningful, honest, and deeply connected to people. What began as an idea rooted in curiosity and love for coffee has evolved, through years of discipline, learning, and sacrifice, into a living project shaped by purpose and passion for the coffee and culinary industry.
Throughout my journey, I made a conscious decision to invest in my education and professional development as the foundation of my business. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resources, a degree in Culinary Arts, and I am a certified barista with over eight years of hands on experience. Each step academic and practical was taken with intention, allowing me to blend creativity with structure, artistry with strategy, and vision with sustainability.
Three years ago, French Press Atelier was born as a small, thoughtfully designed concept. Thanks to the unwavering support, trust, and love of our community, it has grown organically into something far greater than I initially imagined. Over time, we have become more than a business that offers coffee and charcuterie experiences. French Press Atelier has transformed into a cultural hub, a creative meeting point, and a space for collaboration where conversations flow, ideas are shared, and people gather not only for quality coffee, but for connection.
Our space has welcomed artists, entrepreneurs, creatives, and neighbors alike, becoming a place where culture and community intersect. This organic evolution has reaffirmed my belief that businesses can and should serve as vessels for human connection and local identity. As part of this continued growth, our current space will be transformed into a bistro, carefully designed to elevate the experience we offer while preserving the warmth, authenticity, and community spirit that define us.
With growth comes a beautiful responsibility. To continue evolving, we must expand our capacity, acquire essential equipment, and create additional space that supports efficiency, creativity, and hospitality. More importantly, this next chapter allows us to generate local employment opportunities, support collaborators and suppliers, and strengthen our contribution to the local economy.
This loan represents far more than financial assistance. It is a tool to grow responsibly, to honor the trust our community has placed in us, and to ensure that FPA continues to be a sustainable, values driven business. It enables us to invest not only in infrastructure, but in people, culture, and long term impact.
I am profoundly grateful to everyone who believes in small businesses, in culture as a driver of change, and in dreams built through perseverance, passion, and love. Your support does not simply help fund a business it helps nurture a shared vision, one cup of coffee at time.
