Samiratou is the representative of the group. She is married, and the mother of 5 children, ranging from 1 to 15 in age. Three of her children are in school, and she has 5 people in her care.  

Samiratou has been hairdressing for 15 years. She buys her supplies in the markets around the town of Ouagadougou. With the proceeds from this loan, she will buy 20 sachets of beads, and 5 cartons of cosmetic products, including hair ointments and shampoos, for her hair salon. She hopes to put some of the revenue generated back into the business, as well as save some of her earnings so she can buy a parcel of land, and help her husband with the household expenses.
