Takku Liguey Group's story
Khady is the president of the "Takku Liguey" group, which means "union for work" in English. She is a 63-year-old businesswoman. Sitting in the middle of the photo and raising her right hand, she is a widow and supports four children aged 8 to 14, three of whom are in school.
Khady is a creditworthy client of VFS, and she has been running her business for 15 years. With this loan, she plans to buy goods (fabric, mangoes, cashews, and various other items) that will allow her to strengthen her business and increase her income.
To obtain her supplies, she goes to the weekly markets in her area and then resells the goods in her neighborhood and surrounding areas.
The income she earns allows her to provide for her family's needs in the following areas: health, food, education, hygiene, and more.
Among the difficulties she faces are strong competition, inflation, and the high cost of transportation. Khady hopes to become a successful businesswoman and expand her business nationwide.
