La Fortaleza Group
A loan of $5,250 helps a member to buy and sell pork.

La Fortaleza Group's story
The La Fortaleza group is made up of enterprising and responsible women who are committed to improving their families' living conditions. They live in working class neighborhoods with average living conditions.
This is the case of Ms. Luz who is 49 years old. She is currently in a common-law marriage and is the mother of two children. For six years she has made her living selling pork. She sells it daily in the mornings. This work enables her to generate income to help with family expenses.
With her loan she will buy more pork to keep up her sales. Luz hopes to buy larger freezers to be able to store her product.
The rest of the group is made up of Rosa, María, Mirian, Eugenia and Carmen; women who alongside their families aim to get ahead.
In this group: Rosa Dalia, Maria Guadalupe, Luz Bellita, Mirian, Ma Eugenia, Maria Del Carmen
