A loan of $1,450 helps to purchase a motorcycle that optimizes the transport of her harvest to the processing plant.

Flor's story
Flor is a hardworking farmer from Timbío, Cauca, with 31 years of experience. She owns a one-hectare farm where she has planted more than 4,000 highly productive coffee plants, thanks to constant care using organic inputs. Flor harvests over half a ton of coffee, which she transports in an old cart to an artisanal processing facility located 25 minutes from her farm; however, using the old cart limits transport efficiency, increases travel time, and may affect the speed at which the coffee reaches the facility for processing.
Flor lives with her husband and one of their seven children. Her husband is also a farmer and supports her with farm work.
A loan of $5,211,567 COP allows Flor to purchase a motorcycle. This investment optimizes the transport of her harvest, facilitates travel to the processing plant, and helps improve the efficiency of her daily work, ensuring that her coffee arrives in better condition for processing and commercialization.
