Wassa Group's story

Abdou, 40 years of age, is married and the father of six children, four of whom are in school. He lives in a rural commune in Mali, within a context of socioeconomic vulnerability. His children range in age from 1 to 16 years old.

His main objective is to ensure the wellbeing of his family and to invest sustainably in his children's future, particularly through access to education and healthcare. To improve their living conditions, Abdou has engaged in sheep fattening and raising for more than 12 years. This is the main source of income for the household.

With financial support from RMCR, Abdou stocks up at the local and surrounding markets and sells his production through the same channels, thus contributing to the development of the local economy.

His business activity generates an estimated monthly income of between 30,000 and 50,000 CFA francs [XOF], enough to cover essential household expenses (schooling, healthcare, clothing).

The support from RMCR enables Abdou to strengthen the viability of his business, improve the health management of his livestock, and reduce the risks associated with animal diseases, thus contributing to the long-term security of his income and the economic resilience of his household.
