Keur Moussa 2 Group's story
This banc villageois was formed in July 2006 and consists of hard-working women who work as traders. They live in the same village and surrounding area. They have a good relationship with each other and are mutually supportive.
Madam Awa is a 72-year-old widow who has ten children, three of whom are boys. All of her children are educated. She sells watermelons. She is the group representative and is on the right of the photo with her hand raised.
She is going to buy five tons of watermelons to sell wholesale to retailers. She has been in this business for more than seven years and has a lot of customers.
She will use her profit to boost her business and savings in the banc villageois, and part of it to take care of her family and their needs.
