Zainab's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 30-year-old Zainab from the Torkpoi Branch. She is a married businesswoman with three children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to support her family.
Zainab runs a retail business, selling shoes to customers throughout the community. She has been in this business for the past 6 years. Zainab says that her challenge is the rising cost of transportation, goods, and commodities in the country.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase shoes to increase her business. Zainab says that the extra income from this lone will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand on a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
