Jorge Paolo

Jorge, who is seen on the left side of the photo, is an accountant and he is financially supporting the education of his nephew Wilmer, who is seen on the right side.  Wilmer is a young medical student who lives with his parents, who are elderly people who work independently in order to cover the household expenses.  

At this time, Wilmer is in his final year of medical school, an achievement made possible thanks to the support that he has received from Kiva.  Last year, Jorge took an educational loan from Kiva, which provided significant relief for the household's finances.  Thanks to Kiva's support, Wilmer has been able to continue with his education, and today he is closer than ever to graduating as a doctor. 

Jorge has demonstrated responsible and consistent payment behavior.  However, in spite of Jorge's efforts, and the income that Wilmer's parents earn, Wilmer lacks sufficient resources to cover the cost of his new academic year.  Therefore, Jorge is requesting a new educational loan from Kiva, with the firm objective of enabling his nephew Wilmer to continue to make progress in his professional training, complete his internships, and contribute to society.  

Wilmer, grateful for the support that he has received, expresses the following," Thanks to the backing of my Uncle Jorge and the support of Kiva, I've been able to continue my education and get closer to accomplishing my goal of becoming a doctor.  This support has been fundamental for my professional training and personal development."
