Bernardo's story

Bernardo, a 70-year-old man who is happily married and lives with his wife in a humble house he built himself in the community of San Antonio de Cebadas. He was born and raised in the countryside, so from a very young age he became familiar with agricultural work.

Bernardo has extensive experience in farming, having learned to work the land with dedication and perseverance since childhood.  Today, he continues to dedicate himself to agriculture as his main source of income, planting potatoes, corn, and carrots. Over time, he has improved his cultivation techniques and has begun to implement organic farming methods, thus reducing the use of chemicals in caring for his crops. To continue his work, Bernardo needs financial support to buy tools, pay the wages of the day laborers he employs to work the land, and purchase agricultural supplies. This will allow him to increase his crop production, which he can then sell to provide a dignified old age for himself and his wife.

Another of Bernardo's goals is to build a proper bathroom in his house, as he currently only has a septic tank.
