Melly's story
Melly resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 39 years old and married.
She and her husband earn their livelihood through fishing, a trade they have been engaged in for 20 years.
Currently, Melly is seeking a loan of PHP 40,000 through Kiva’s lending partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use the loan to purchase fishing nets to support their fishing activity.
Melly aspires to enhance their livelihood, in the future, with the goal of achieving a better standard of living.
