Maricel's story
Maricel resides in the province of Leyte. She is 44 years old and single. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store where she sells feed and rice. She has been managing this business for five years.
Currently, Maricel is requesting a loan of PHP 70,000 through Kiva’s lending partner, CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use the loan as additional capital to buy feed and rice to sell in her store.
Maricel dreams of further improving her business in the future to achieve a better standard of living.
