La Luna Group

La Luna Group's story

Marlene lives in a rural community. She has no young children or family living abroad.

Marlene sells tortillas in her community, an activity she does for half the day and into the evening. She is self-taught in this trade, which provides her with an income.

The loan she is requesting will be used to invest in essential supplies for her business: corn, firewood, and lime. Her goal is to purchase these products at low seasonal prices to ensure a higher profit margin, as she will be buying them in larger quantities at a lower cost. Her dream is to improve her home and achieve financial stability.

She, along with Elsy and Cesar, make up the La Luna solidarity group.

In this group: Elsy Bertila, Cesar Enrique, Marlene Abigail
