Maria Juna's story
Maria Juna resides in the province of Leyte. She is 40 years old and has two dependents. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store where she sells basic commodities. She has been managing this business for 10 years.
Currently, Maria Juna is requesting a loan of PHP 70,000 through Kiva’s lending partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use the loan as additional capital to buy assorted groceries to sell in her store.
Maria Juna dreams of further improving her business in the future to achieve a better standard of living.
