Alejandrino
A loan of $2,100 helps to maintain his avocado crops.

Alejandrino's story
Alejandrino is 66 years old. He is a father and he lives in Omate, an agricultural area where many people have spent their lives working hard and combining a range of activities in order to support their families. When he was young, he also worked in the construction industry as well as in farming, working very hard in order to earn an income and get ahead.
As the years went by, Alejandrino stopped doing the more physically demanding work and nowadays he only works on his plot of land, where he grows avocados, his avocados being known throughout the area for their good quality and flavour. This business has become his main source of income and has grown thanks to years of experience and commitment to the land.
Currently, Alejandrino is requesting a loan in order to maintain his avocado plantations, which will allow him to provide suitable care for his crops, ensuring a good crop of avocados and providing a steady income. This support is key for him to be able to continue working his land and supporting his family.
Supporting Alejandrino means supporting an experienced farmer who, despite age and the limitations of the environment, continues to believe in farming work as a means of making an honest living.
