Rafaela's story
Rafaela resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 62 years old and married. She and her husband earn their livelihood through fishing, a trade they have been engaged in for 18 years.
Currently, Rafaela is seeking a loan of PHP 70,000 through Kiva’s lending partner, CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use the loan to purchase an engine and plywood for their boat.
Rafaela aspires to enhance their livelihood in the future, with the goal of achieving a better standard of living.
