Marlene's story
Marlene resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 59 years old and a widow. She earns her livelihood through fishing, a trade she has been engaged in for 30 years.
Currently, Marlene is seeking a loan of PHP 20,000 through Kiva’s lending partner CEVI (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use the loan to purchase fishing nets to supports their fishing activity.
Marlene aspires to enhance their livelihood in the future, with the goal of achieving a better standard of living.
