Margaret's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 37-year-old Margaret from Torkpoi Branch. She is a married businesswoman with three children between the ages of 11 and 17 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to generate more income to support her family.
Margaret runs a retail business and sells rice to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 6 years. Margaret says that her challenge is the increase in the cost of transportation when transporting her product.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more rice to increase her business. Margaret says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
