Cheryl's story
Cheryl is 52 years old and married. She and her family reside in the province of Davao del Sur.
To earn an income, she and her husband own a tricycle for hire. This tricycle is a common mode of public transportation in most rural areas of the Philippines. It has been their source of income for over 10 years.
Currently, she is asking for a loan of 40,000 PHP through Kiva’s field partner CEVI Philippines. She will use this loan for the maintenance of their tricycle, buying spare parts and engine oil.
Cheryl dreams of improving their livelihood in the future for a better means of living.
