Maria Piedad

Maria Piedad's story

Piedad, 56, lives with her family in Cahuasqui, known for its productive land and its diverse natural landscapes located in the north of Ecuador.

Piedad is a hardworking woman who has worked in agriculture, always cultivating the land, and alongside her husband she has been able to have her own crops.  At the moment she has granadilla and fruit trees.  Piedad started this business because she wanted to contribute a higher income at home.  Piedad plans to use this business to be more financially stable.

Piedad believes that it's very important for entrepreneurs to provide customer service and to offer a high-quality product.

Piedad is applying for a loan for $2,450 USD to buy soil amendments and to pay labor costs for a pruning cycle, and in four months be in production.

Piedad would be grateful to Kiva if they would help once again with a loan, because the crop and agricultural work is her family's only source of income.
