I grew up learning the value of hard work and determination, even when the odds were against me. My fiancé and I decided to start Legacy Yard Co. because we wanted to create stability for our family and a future for our three children. He worked for a large landscaping company for years, and while the pay was never enough to cover our needs, he truly loves the work he does. Landscaping is not just a job to him — it’s something he takes pride in, and that passion is what pushed us to start our own business.

We began with the little equipment we had — just two push mowers, a weed eater, and a blower — and started taking on small jobs. Word spread quickly, and we were able to secure contracts to mow several properties each week. Even with limited resources, our passion and commitment have helped us grow.

What motivates me most is the opportunity to show my kids that no matter where you start in life, with determination and faith you can create something meaningful. Legacy Yard Co. is more than a business; it’s about creating opportunities, breaking cycles, and leaving behind a legacy for my children and community.
