A loan of $2,850 helps to buy more coffee to sell.
Clinton's story
Clinton is 28 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Central region of Uganda. He is married and has one child who is currently in school. For the past seven years, he has been working hard managing his coffee sales business.
To help expand his business, Clinton has requested a loan of 10,000,000 UGX from Kiva's field partner BRAC Uganda to buy more coffee to sell. This will help increase his sales and so generate greater profits. Clinton hopes that in the future he will be able to buy land and build houses to rent.
Clinton is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise program, which primarily serves small entrepreneurs like he who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
