Annet
A loan of $1,700 helps to purchase essential items like chicks, feed, housing, feeders, waterers, and brooders.

Annet's story
Annet is 61 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Central region of Uganda. She is married and has 17 children with 5 of them currently in school. For the past 11 years, Annet has been working hard to manage her poultry farm.
To help expand her business, Annet has requested a loan of 6,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase essential items like chicks, feed, housing, feeders, waterers, and brooders, and potentially equipment for disease control and egg collection. This will help her to generate greater profits, and she will be able to buy food for her family and take good care of herself.
Annet hopes that in the future she will be able to expand her business. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program which primarily serves small-group members like her, who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
