A loan of $10,000 helps a family owned rural frozen yogurt and treat business establish sweet roots!

Tina's story
I am a wife and mom of two, when my son was diagnosed with Autism, I didn't know what his future would look like... would he get married? have kids? drive? what would working look like for him when he was older? For years, I have had this idea to take Jake's love for frozen yogurt and treats and make it into a business that one day, he could run himself! I can help him understand social cues, communicating with customers, help him gain work experience, boost his confidence, and encourage him to reach for the stars! Jake is very well known and loved in our small rural community - he is already boosting the excitement about our new business - and is taking a very hands-on approach to establishing the business. I have worked in customer service fields for my entire working life. First as a roller-skating carhop... then a floral designer, and after 22 years in the insurance industry - I'm ready to reach for the stars too!
Jake is currently 15 years old and will start high school next year. Our business will be mobile, so that we can move to the wonderful county-wide events that our community hosts, as well as be flexible with our timing and scheduling so that he can continue school and sports that he loves!
Thank you for your consideration into making our dream a reality!
