Jamila's story
My name is Jamila, and I am an Afghan mother who came to the United States two years ago as a refugee, hoping to build a safer and brighter future for my family. Cooking has always been a part of who I am. I learned it from my mother and grandmother, and it carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Today, I want to turn that love into something meaningful for my new community and the place I now call home.
