Finca Chorro Blanco
A loan of $50,000 helps to support a coffee company to improve livelihoods for over 2,000 smallholder organic coffee producers in northern Peru.

Finca Chorro Blanco's story
In Peru's Cajamarca and Amazonas regions, Finca Chorro Blanco works together with more than 2,600 smallholder coffee producers, ensuring they earn a stable income that supports them and their families. Founded in 2012, this family-owned business operates a certified organic and Rainforest Alliance coffee processing plant where it processes small batches of high-quality, specialty coffee beans known as “micro lot” coffee.
Finca Chorro Blanco works closely with farmers to provide training so they can grow premium coffee varieties and access higher coffee prices. As Finca Chorro Blanco also purchases standard coffee, producers can sell their entire harvest to the company and create steady income. This combination helps producers increase earnings by up to 30% and reduces barriers such as limited market access and low prices. Finca Chorro Blanco also invests in its workforce, paying wages above the minimum threshold. Women play a central role in its organization and supplier network, making up 30% of its producers and gaining greater market access, leadership opportunities, and financial independence, strengthening households and local communities.
With your support, Finca Chorro Blanco can expand its micro lot and coffee processing to reach more than 500 additional producers by 2027. Your loan will help smallholder farmers improve the quality of their coffee, diversify income, and secure long-term, dignified livelihoods throughout northern Peru.
