Sen's story

Sen is 28 years old, married, and the mother of three young children. Her family lives in a small coastal community in Thanh Hoa Province, where life is shaped by the rhythms of the sea. Her husband works as an inshore fisherman, going out daily to catch fish and other seafood near the coast. His income is modest and depends heavily on weather conditions.

To help support her family, Sen stays home to care for the children and also buys and resells fresh seafood in the local market. This small trade provides an important additional source of income, but it is limited by how much inventory she can afford to purchase each day. Sen hopes to expand her business by buying more fish and shrimp to sell, which would help her serve more customers and increase her earnings. However, she currently lacks the capital to do so. She is requesting her third loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to purchase additional seafood for resale.

Sen dreams of a future where her household is less vulnerable to weather and uncertainty, and where her children can grow up with greater security and opportunity.
