Minh's story

Mrs. Minh, 65, lives with her husband in a small home in the remote mountains of Thanh Hoa province. Their children are grown, but the couple still works hard to cover daily expenses. Her husband takes on manual labor jobs when available, while Mrs. Minh earns income by doing housekeeping for local families and making bánh chưng - traditional sticky rice cakes that she sells them for villagers.

She now hopes to buy more ingredients to increase her production, but she lacks the capital. This is her eighth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI, which will help her purchase sticky rice, pork, beans, and other materials to make more cakes.

With this loan, she hopes to produce a larger quantity of cakes, attract more customers, and increase her income. Her dream is simple: to improve her family’s living conditions and create a more stable and comfortable life in her later years.
